Many religious organizations grew out of the Reformation of the Catholic Church and then ongoing changes to the resulting churches. Early churches were responsible for recording vital records such as births, baptisms, marriages and deaths. As always, you have to understand the history and development of religious groups in order to find the vital records of your ancestors.
